Is there a mobile app?
Deskless Books runs in your phone’s browser at app.desklessbooks.com — nothing to install — and works the same on your computer, with your records in sync. You can add it to your home screen like an app. A store app for Android is on the way.
Is it easy to get started?
Oo! Sign up in the app with your email, do a quick ID and selfie check, then add your business with your TIN and RDO code. You can record your first receipt a few minutes later. Our Getting started guide walks you through it.
Is support included?
Yes, on every plan, including Free. Message our team from the bell icon in the app (attachments welcome) or email support@desklessbooks.com. We can explain how Deskless Books works, but we can’t give professional tax or legal advice.
Can I add my accountant or bookkeeper?
Yes. Advance lets you invite 1 collaborator and Business lets you invite 3. They pass a short ID check, you choose what they can do, and every change they make shows in your audit log. See For accountants.
Is the subscription tax-deductible?
Usually, yes — if you use itemized deductions, software you pay for to run your business is a business expense you can record (keep your payment receipt). If you’re on the 8% rate or the 40% OSD, expenses don’t lower your tax separately. Ask a CPA if you’re not sure.
Do you file my taxes for me?
No — you file; we prepare. Deskless Books keeps your records, compares your tax options and prepares your books and draft tax forms. You file your returns and pay the BIR yourself through eBIRForms, eFPS or your RDO and the BIR’s accepted payment channels. Prepared tax forms are worksheets marked “NOT FOR FILING”.
Who is Deskless Books for?
Filipino self-employed people registered with the BIR — freelancers and VAs, online sellers (Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada and others) and content creators — who are not VAT-registered and earn under ₱3 million a year. If your sales go past ₱3 million, you’ll need VAT registration and software built for VAT.
Do I need to know accounting?
Hindi na kailangan. You record money in and money out in plain words; Deskless Books puts it in the right place for BIR reports and books.
I’m not registered with the BIR yet. Can I still use it?
You can try it, but to register a business in the app you’ll need your TIN, RDO code and BIR details. We don’t handle BIR registration — you can register through the BIR’s ORUS or at your RDO.
Should I choose the 8% rate or graduated rates?
It depends on your income and expenses. Deskless Books compares both using your records. Read our 8% vs graduated guide for the basics — and remember the choice is usually locked in for the whole year.
What is a 2307 and why should I track it?
BIR Form 2307 shows tax a client or platform withheld from your payments. It counts as tax you’ve already paid, so tracking it can lower what you owe. See the 2307 guide.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Sign-in needs your password plus a code emailed to you, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and database rules keep each person to their own records. We don’t sell your information. See Security and our Privacy Policy.
How do I pay for a plan?
On this website, from My account. We accept GCash, Maya, QR Ph, online banking, GrabPay and cards through PayMongo. Plans are prepaid monthly and we email you before your month ends.
Why can’t I pay inside the app?
Payments happen on our website only. Sign in to My account in any browser to upgrade, renew or buy a prepared tax form — your plan updates in the app right after.
What happens if I don’t renew?
You get a 3-day grace period, then your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — your records stay, and paid features unlock again when you renew.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Export My Data is on Advance and Business (and available any time while an account deletion is pending). You can delete your account any time, with a 30-day grace period. The BIR may require you to keep your books for several years, so export a copy first.
