Getting started with Deskless Books

Set up your account and business, record your first transaction, and turn on BIR reminders.

What you’ll need

  • Your BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303), TIN and RDO code. Deskless Books is for people already registered with the BIR as self-employed. Not registered yet? Register first through the BIR’s ORUS or at your RDO.
  • One government ID for a quick identity check.
  • A phone or computer with a browser.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to app.desklessbooks.com and sign up with your email and a password. Every time you sign in, we’ll also email you a 6-digit code — that keeps your books safe even if someone guesses your password.

Step 2: Register your business

Enter your trade name, TIN, RDO code, address and the kind of work you do (freelancer/VA, online seller or content creator). Then take a photo of your ID and a few live selfies. This check makes sure no one can open books in your name.

Step 3: Record your first transaction

Tap add, snap a photo of a receipt, check what we read, and save. Got paid? Add it as income. That’s it — you’re bookkeeping. See recording income and expenses for tips.

Step 4: Catch up on this year

Starting mid-year? Add the income you’ve already earned this year. Your 8% vs graduated comparison and your ₱3 million tracking only work well when the whole year is in.

Step 5: Turn on reminders

Allow notifications so we can remind you before BIR deadlines like the quarterly 1701Q and 2551Q. On the website, reminders show in the app’s Alerts (the bell icon).

Heads up: this guide is general information to help you get organized, not tax or legal advice. BIR rules change and your situation may differ — check with your RDO or a CPA before you file.
